Plans have been submitted for the construction of six new four-bedroom homes near Redbourn Leisure Centre.

If permitted, the development would see detached houses created on land between Stoneleigh and St Luke's School, off Blackhorse Lane.

Parking spaces are included within the plans, along with an attached garage for each home.

Three cherry trees would be removed to allow the development to take place, with new broadleaf trees planted at the front of the site.

A planning statement reads: "The proposal would maintain the mature landscaped character of the locality into which the six houses would be integrated.

"The layout and design of the houses would also be wholly compatible with the surrounding pattern, scale and character of development."
