In Radlett, a six-bedroom house with an underground swimming pool and a hot tub may follow the demolition of a property at Elangeni, Loom Lane.

Lower ground accommodation and an integral garage are included in the plans, which were submitted last Tuesday (January 9).

Permission was granted for the development in 2014, 2017 and 2020 but has since expired in all three cases.

A design and access statement attached to the application reads: "The proposal has been designed in a contemporary style that reflects the shape and slope of the site.

"The proposed house area considers the character and appearance of the area by maintaining all key trees on the site and respecting the amenity of the neighbouring occupiers.

SUGGESTED READING

"The one-for-one replacement house is proposed within approximately the excavation footprint of the existing house, bearing no effect on the confines of the site."
