3. Installation of solar panels - planning application

A planning application has been submitted to install solar panels at Old Raisins Farm in Holly Lane in Harpenden.

You can comment on the application by visiting St Albans City and District Council's planning portal and searching for application 5/2023/2075.

4. Various roads - traffic notices

Hertfordshire County Council have applied for orders to temporarily close two St Albans roads.

First, on November 22, a section of Sopwell Lane is closed for utility service works to be conducted. And, on December 4, a section of Jersey Lane will also close near to the junction with Rose Walk. The Jersey Lane closure is to enable electrical connection works to be conducted.

Both orders would allow the roads to be closed for up to 18 months, though signs at the roads will specify the closure dates and times.

5. Various roads - road restrictions

Two roads in St Albans will close later this month if an order applied for by Hertfordshire County Council comes into effect.

First, on December 12, Lower Dagnall Street will close around the junction with Lower Dagnall Street. The order can be for a period of up 18 months, with specific timings indicated by signs on the road. Utility service works are the reason for the closure.

Then, on December 14, parts of the A4147 Catherine Street and Fishpool Street will close. The order can also be for a period of up to 18 months, with specific timings indicated by signs on the road. Unspecified works are the reason for the closure.
