As well as designing and creating their creations, Heartwood Glass also hosts on-location workshops at schools, corporate events and community groups.

Alex said: "It’s an honour to be recognised and it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support from our friends, customers, and local community.

"We’ve put a lot of hard work into developing and growing our glass business in recent years, from selling our glass art to creating our ‘have a go’ glass art workshops for all ages from 5 to 102, which are adapted for any special needs to ensure they are inclusive for all.

"To be recognised for our achievements and celebrated at a national scale is brilliant and encourages us to push ourselves even further.”

“Being invited to the House of Lords for lunch with the incredible Small Business Saturday UK SmallBiz 100 was an amazing opportunity to look at what Heartwood Glass has achieved and to meet so many inspirational business owners."
