Hertfordshire police have released an image of a man that they would like to identify, after a firework was put through the letterbox of a property in Borehamwood.

The image was released today (Tuesday, May 2) following the incident of arson - which occurred at around 4.10am on Saturday, February 25.

At that time, a firework was placed through the letterbox of a house on Cromwell Road, setting fire to a coat and causing damage to the hallway.

Hertfordshire Constabulary are now appealing for the public's help in identifying the individual pictured.

PC Richard Tomlinson said: "This was a distressing incident for the victim and we are doing all we can to trace the individual(s) involved.

“I am appealing for the public’s help to identify the man in the picture as it is believed he was in the area at the time and may have information that could assist with our investigation.
