FAMILY film Up is being shown as the Saturday matinee by Harpenden Film Club at the weekend.

The Pixar film, which is being screened at 3pm at Harpenden Public Halls, focuses on a 78-year-old man who has spent his days dreaming of exploring the globe but now thinks that life has passed him by – that is until an eight-year-old boy changes his outlook on life.

Tickets are £4.50 for adults and £2 for under-16s, available from the website www.harpendenfilmsociety.co.uk or in person from the Public Halls or WH Smith.

At 8pm next Tuesday, March 1, the film society is showing Madeo (Mother), a subtitled South Korean murder mystery in which a girl is murdered, a son is accused and it is up to his mother to prove his innocence.

Tickets are £4.50 and available as above.
