St Albans actor returns to stage in Landscape at the Maltings Arts Theatre
PUBLISHED: 10:04 11 May 2012
A LOCAL actor makes a return to the stage next week – after a six year break from treading the boards.
Adam Nichols, the artistic director of OVO, hasn’t delivered a line on stage since 2006 when he played Bottom in the company’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Now, he’s back in front of audiences in Landscape by Harold Pinter, which is being presented by OVO at the Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans.
Adam commented: “It’s been a busy few years for OVO, with a significant expansion in our work and the decision to run our own theatre and take over the running of the Maltings. I’ve been busy on the management side of things, as well as directing five productions and starting a family. There just hasn’t been time to act!”
OVO’s Landscape and A Kind of Alaska will be performed at the theatre from at 8pm nightly from next Thursday, May 17, to Saturday, May 19. For tickets call 07807 521436 or visit www.ticketsource.co.uk/ovo
n A new theatre skills class is being run at the arts theatre after school on Tuesdays for seven to 11 year olds.
Traffic Light Productions Theatre Company will be covering a range of skills including drama, mime, music, story-telling, movement and dance.
The launch workshop next Tuesday, May 15, is free and further details can be obtained from 07956 210148 or email email@example.com
