GLASSES were raised at an annual meeting and garden party which marked the 70th Anniversary of Harpenden High Street Players.

The Players put on two three-act plays each year in the Harpenden High Street Methodist Church Hall, one in the spring and the other in November.

On Sunday, members met to cut a cake and share anecdotes while the official celebration will take place in October with a special lunch for past, present and potential new members.
