Give a Show of Hands for Omid and The Nutcracker at the Alban Arena

Comedy dominates the forthcoming week at the Alban Arena with two performances each from Omid Djalili and Ross Noble.
First up is Omid Djalili who drops into the Arena at 7.30pm next Monday, November 21, and again at 8pm on Saturday, November 26.
The award-winning comedian and actor, best known for his stand-up performances, has credits ranging from Hollywood to TV and live on the West End stage. He recently starried in Dickensian, Lucky Man and Going Forward, all TV programmes.

The man dubbed the Randomist, Ross Noble, brings his Brain Dump show to the Arena at 8pm next Tuesday, November 22, and the following night, Wednesday, November 23.
Famed for his quick freewheeling style and imaginative flights of fancy, he has, as always, lots of stuff backing up in his head and is ready to let it all out.
His career in comedy started 25 years ago when he was 15 and he is regarded as a top live stand-up act.

Songs from a quarter of a century at the top of acoustic music will feature when Show of Hands returns with Walk with Me – The Big Autumn Tour at 8pm next Thursday, November 24.
The show with special guest Megan Henwood reunites the band witn Miranda Sykes on double bass.
Show of Hands are recognised by many as England’s finest and most popular roots partnership and something of a “people’s band”, voicing the hopes, fears and life stories of scores of people in song.
Regular airplay on BBC Radio 2 by Mark Radcliffe, Steve Wright and Janice Long has been a highlight of this year.

One of the most famous classical ballets of all time, The Nutcracker, is being danced by The Vienna Festival Ballet, at 2.30pm next Saturday, November 26.
Set to Tchaikovsky’s score, it tells the story of Clara and her enchanted nutcracker doll as they combat the Mouse King and join the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier on a journey through the Land of Snow to a kingdom made entirely of sweets.
Tickets are £23, £19, and under 16s £15.
