FOOTBALL legend Jimmy Greaves comes to The Radlett Centre next Wednesday, January 19, with his wealth of irreverent anecdotes and unique brand of comedy.
Once the most famous and feted footballer in the land, he is stopping off at Radlett as part of his Jimmy Greaves at 70 tour.
He will be introduced by his friend, agent and experienced compere Terry Baker who claims that Jimmy never ducks a question in his Ask Greavesie Q&A session that closes the show after he has performed his stand-up routine.
Jimmy is legendary in football because he scored an all-time record 357 First Division goals as well as 44 for England in just 57 games. In all matches prior to his premature retirement in 1971 at the age of 31, he scored a modern record with 491 goals.
He played for Chelsea, Spurs, AC Milan, West Ham, Barnet and England and to this day, his goals are seen as a thing of beauty which were stroked into the net like a Jack Nicklaus putt.
Jimmy appears at 8pm and tickets are £18 with concessions £17, available from the box office on 01923 859292 or go to www.radlettcentre.co.uk
