THE MAGIC of the boy girl duets of the jazz era is revived at the Radlett Centre tonight with brand-new show Hey Boy! Hey Girl!
It has been developed by saxophonist Ray Gelato, winner of Ronnie Scott’s best band, and Kai Hoffman, award-winning US diva and Ronnie Scott’s regular, and takes tunes from the great American songbook including such classics as That Old Black Magic and Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £18/£17, available from the box office on 01923 859291 or online at www.radlettcentre.co.uk
The tempo moves from jazz to rock next Thursday, February 3, with appearances from The Honeycombs and Vanity Fayre, two of the bands which made the 60s memorable.
Both groups had a number of worldwide hits and among other songs, The Honeycombs will be performing their iconic hit Have I The Right and Vanity Fayre will be playing Hitching A Ride and Early In The Morning.
Rock Around the 60s will be compered by Richard Headingly who also had a major hit record with Son of My Father when he was a member of Chicory Tip.
The performance begins at 8pm and tickets are £16 with concessions £15.
