A DREAM team of young professional musicians are taking part in a concert entitled Music for a Summer's Evening in Harpenden next week.

Being performed in aid of The Children's Society and organised by the Harpenden appeals committee for the charity, it is being held at Wheathampstead House, the junior house of St Albans High School, in Codicote Road, Wheathampstead on Saturday, June 6.

The performers are St Albans violinist Ellie Fagg, Harpenden's Guy Johnston on cello and Susie Stranders, who is also from Harpenden, on piano.

They will be playing works by Haydn, Ravel, Mendelssohn and Kodaly while Guy's brother Rupert Johnston, who was badly injured in a car accident some years ago, will be making a rare concert performance playing horn with Susie on works by Purcell and Saint Saens.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £15 which includes an interval glass of wine. They can be obtained by calling 01582 621757 or 767836.
