St Albans dance group Living the Dream

St Albans resident Zoe Jackson launched The Dream Foundation, which aims to provide subsidised or free access for young people to performing arts training, with two performances of Living the Dream at the Arts Depot in North Finchley last Friday and Saturday.
The all-dance programme, produced by Zoe, was inspired by Martin Luther King’s famous I Have a Dream speech in Washington DC in 1963.
The show featured Zoe’s own Living the Dream’s professional company in collaboration with other dance groups featured on Sky One’s Got to Dance and ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
Zoe hopes to raise £100,000 to support her project and her ultimate aim is to build a centre for the performing arts in London that is available for all young people.
She was backed by two other young people from St Albans in the fields of music and photography. Ben Jacobs of Benji Photography produced a video of Living the Dream, with a score by Adam Protz, who is studying music at Sheffield University.
Ben has also made prints for sale to raise funds for The Dream Foundation that include young dancers in Verulamium Park.
