Abbey organist Tom Winpenny is coming to lunch at a city centre church next Wednesday, November 19.

Tom, Assistant Master of Music at St Albans Cathedral, is giving the lunchtime concert at St Peter’s Church.

As well as playing and accompanying many services and special occasions as part of his organist duties, he is director of the acclaimed Abbey Girls Choir with whom he has broadcast and recorded.

In addition, he has an international reputation as an organ recitalist and his programme at the church will include works by Muffat, JS Bach, Mendelssohn, Gibbons, Messiaen, Jongen and William Mathias. The free concert starts at 1pm with a collection in aid of Grove House.
