The annual Radlett Festival returns this Sunday featuring a Guinness World Record attempt, a roaming circus and over 50 stalls.
The Festival will be opened by MP Oliver Dowden and assisted by the princesses from Disney’s Frozen, who will also be available to pose for photos with children on the day.
The World Record attempt will be to build The World’s Largest Blanket Fort: 400sq m of pure, unregulated blanket fort, set to beat the current record of 307 sq m by almost a third. This will be a sponsored event, with all proceeds going towards YoungMinds, the UK’s leading young people’s mental health charity.
The festival will also feature live music, and a food court, dog show and fair.
Local acts already set to perform include folk group Said The Maiden, National Songwriting Competition finalist and acoustic musician Nick Stephenson, and St Albans based rock and roll band The Craft.
Also roaming the festival will be Bushey magician Jeff Waltham.
The event will take place at Phillimore Recreation Ground, and run from 11am-5pm. It’s free to attend for under 16s, and £2.50 each for adults.
