A PledgeMusic campaign has been set up by local folk trio Said The Maiden to help with the costs of launching their EP in December.
The trio, Hannah Elizabeth, Jess Distill, and Kathy Pilkinton, who are making a name for themselves on the British folk scene and won a prestigious award from the Bristol Folk Festival this year, are currently embarking on a new project.
They are planning to release their EP entitled Of Maids and Mariners in December accompanied by a professionally-produced music video and promotional artwork.
They have set up a PledgeMusic campaign to help with the costs and fans are invited to pay anything from £7 for a signed pre-ordered copy of the EP to £300 for a private house gig for them and their friends.
The girls are hoping to raise £3000 through Pledgemusic.com and 20% of any money they raise over this target will be donated to Tommy’s Baby Charity which conducts vital research into pregnancy problems and provides information and support to parents who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth and other problems.
