SAXOPHONIST Jean Toussaint is making a return to Herts Jazz Club this Sunday.

The Caribbean born, US-educated saxophone star last made an appearance at the club at the Tony Levin tribute in the summer.

He has made his home in London and recently toured Europe with Max Roach, headlined at Sweet Basil in New York, joined Cedar Walton in London and worked with Horace Silver. With a commission for composition from the Arts Council he has toured the UK with old friends Mulgrew Miller, Terence Blanchard and Reginald Veal.

The evening in the jazz club at Campus West, Welwyn Garden City, gets underway at 7.45pm and tickets are £11 online at www.welhat.gov.uk/cw, £13 on the door and £5 for students and under 21s.
