Talented local musicians can be found playing in the city centre this Saturday, September 12, when the annual St Albans Band Aid (SABA) event runs for the seventh year.

The brainchild of local musician, Dene Rosewarne, it takes place outside Ladbrookes in St Peter’s Street from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

Among the acts performing are Harpenden busker Mike Hodge, We Few, Co Jones, Crazy Dog and The Swan Vesta Social Club together with Elvus Shmelvis and Elvince.

All the money raised this year will be divided equally between Rennie Grove Hospice Care and The British Heart Foundation and it is hoped that the total will exceed last year’s record £5,000.

SABA would welcome any offers to help as collectors on the day.
