A DREAM wedding involving horse-drawn carriages and fancy bouquets of flowers would be a nightmare for Tom Wrigglesworth who is appearing at the Maltings Arts Theatre in St Albans next Saturday, February 5.

And it was the thought of it which inspired his Nightmare Dream Wedding which is currently touring the country and can be seen in St Albans at 8pm.

Having run out of excuses to delay his wedding any longer, Tom agreed to take a holiday in America where his girlfriend had planned an Elvis-styled Vegas wedding – until Tom found out the price of Elvis and the cost had to be scaled down.

And that was when his problems started, leaving Tom with a Shakin’ Stevens-styled wedding and finding himself on the run from an unsavoury group of criminals from whom he had unwittingly stolen an oxygen machine. A roller-coaster of farcical chases, mistaken identities and last-minute wedding plans ensured that his nuptials were anything but restful.

Tom has appeared on TV and radio including Loose Ends and The Tube and he has also been a regular sidekick on BBC Radio Wales flagship weekend experience The Rhod Gilbert Show as well as co-presenting with Richard Bacon on his Radio Five show.

The show begins at 8pm and tickets are £12 with concessions £10, available from the box office on 01727 864511, in person from the St Albans Tourist and Information Office at the Town Hall or online at www.allaboutstalbans.com
