ONE of the world’s most sought after artists is making a guest appearance at a Harpenden gallery next Friday evening, May 6.

Fabian Perez will be launching his new collection of canvas editions and previously unseen original paintings inspired by life after dark in Buenos Aires at the Lemongrove Gallery in the High Street.

His Argentinean upbringing provided him with an unconventional view of life which has contributed to his unique style of artwork. He spent much of his childhood in his father’s clubs where he was constantly exposed to beautiful women – and ladies of the night are frequently portrayed in his paintings.

The new collection includes some of his most atmospheric work and gallery manager, Olivia O’Sullivan, said: “We are delighted to welcome an artist of Fabian’s status to Harpenden. Despite his formidable reputation in the art world, his warm personality has made him a favourite with collectors.”

Fabian will be at the gallery for a champagne reception between 6pm and 8pm.
