A GROUP of local artists and crafts people will be showing their work in Harpenden next Saturday, August 7.

The brainchild of art enthusiast and event organiser Sally Evans and local photographer Andrew Scoggins, the showcase at the High Street Methodist Church Hall will bring together 17 artists showing work including ceramics, prints, art, photography, glasswork and knits.

Among the stallholders will be Andrew himself specialising in landscape images, Opal Seabrook from Harpenden who creates sparkling fused glass jewellery and stained glass, Karen Tinkler from St Albans who designs prints, Loch Ming Fung from St Albans who makes ceramics and Harpenden weaver Adam Jordan.

Sally said: “There are so many amateur individual artisans out there creating absolutely stunning work. My events are designed to be a showcase for all this undiscovered talent and to bring local artists together.”
