PIRACY on the High Seas of St Albans occupied students at a theatre arts school's summer academy last week.

Students of the academy held by Best Theatre Arts were putting on Rock'n'Ocean Roller at the SandPit Theatre at Sandringham School.

It told the story of a luxury ocean liner captured by a large gang of pirates - who turn out to be quite friendly and really wanting to see the liner's nightly entertainment.

Annette Holland, the founder of Best, said: "I don't know where we get our stories from but every academy week is completely different. It's so nice to see so many children coming back year after year."

Seventy six students took part in the show and every child had lines to speak and played a full part in the proceedings.

Best has run four weeks of academies this summer and the next is The HeX Factor which begins on Monday. Further details can be obtained from Annette on 01727 759634 or email bestarts@aol.com
