A DRUMMER and singer in their eighties and a 93-year-old accordion player will be performing in two separate talent shows today.

They are taking part in Bupa Wants Talent shows at Field House Nursing Home in Harpenden and Caddington Hall Residential Home in Markyate.

The over-65s talent show have been organised by Bupa are part of plans to mark UK Older People's Day, a national day of events that celebrates later life and the huge contribution that older people make to society.

Vanessa Thaxter, manager of Caddington Hall, said: "It's not often that older people get the opportunity to be centre stage but we're here to prove that it's never too late to perform and show that you have real star quality.
