EXPATRIATE Australian singer Trudy Kerr is joining forces with fellow Aussie Ingrid James to perform at Herts Jazz Club this Sunday night.

Trudy has long been a welcome presence on the UK jazz scene, during which time she has collaborated with many great musicians including Mulgrew Miller, Jan Lundgren, Georgie Fame, Bob Dorough, Michael Garrick, Acker Bilk and Jamie Cullum.

She has recorded a string of albums for the Jazzizit label, including Reunion which teams her with fellow Australian Ingrid James.

They had sung together some 20 years ago and whilst Trudy has been carving out a successful career in the UK, Queensland-based Ingrid has been doing much the same in Australasia.

Joining them at the jazz club which meets at Campus West, Welwyn Garden City, will be Tom Cawley, piano, Geoff Gascoyne, bass, and Sebastiaan De Krom, drums.

Tickets are £5 for students and under-21s; £11 advance from http://www.hawthornetheatre.co.uk/whatsonstage.html and £13 at the door.
