Four performers and the choreographer take to the stage for an investigation into personal happiness at Trestle Arts Base in St Albans next Tuesday, April 14.

They are appearing in Robert Clark’s Promises of Happiness which offers the audience a playful way of measuring happiness on a scale of one to 10 - waking up to a loved one, everyday comforts such as a good cup of tea, the joys of weddings or new birth.

The performers interact with and listen to audiences as the show unfolds.

Robert said: “In this work I am promising the audience to try and bring them genuine happiness. I might not succeed, I can almost guarantee that I won’t succeed for all of them but I can promise to try. The final part of the piece is based on a scientific experiment which if executed correctly is proven to bring people at least a month of increased happiness.”

The performance starts at 7.30pm and tickets at £12, £10 and a group ticket at £40, available from the Trestle box office on 01727 850950 or online at www.allaboutstalbans.com.
