Weekend tickets for this year’s Herts Jazz Festival in September are now on sale.

The festival will be held from September 12 to 14 and the three headliners will be the Big Chris Barber Band, the John Taylor Quartet and Georgie Fame with the Alan Skidmore Quartet.

The programme also includes plenty of other big names from British jazz including Ben Castle, Art Themen, Jean Toussaint, Orphy Robinson and Anthony Kerr, Clark Tracey, James Pearson, JJ Wheeler and more.

Festival director, Clark Tracey said: “We are proud to have established the Herts Jazz Festival as part of the British jazz calendar. I think we’ve got something for every jazz-lover over the weekend, from the legend that is Chris Barber to up and coming new star JJ Wheeler.”

The festival is being held at the Hawthorne Theatre, Welwyn Garden City, and weekend tickets at £95 (£85 Herts Jazz members, £30 students) with early-bird discounts of £10, are available via the festival website www.hertsjazzfestival.co.uk and the Hawthorne Theatre box office on 01707 357117.
