ST Albans-based new ravers The Scratch are launching their fourth studio album, Great Adventure, at The Pioneer Club in St Albans on Saturday.

They will be supported at the Heathlands Drive club by The Zipheads and the Paul Hegley Band from 8.30pm.

The Scratch have been together for 10 years and have three previous self-released albums – D.I.Y 2004, Night Bus or Milk Train, 2006, and Whatever Happened to Friday Night, 2009 – under their belts.

They have also produced a raft of vinyl and MP3 singles and have supported the likes of Noel Gallagher, The Charlatans, Ian Brown, Echo and The Bunnymen, Goldblade, Mystery Jets, The Heartbreaks and Paul Weller.

Tickets at �6 are on sale in advance only from www.musicglue.com. Pre-launch drinks will be available from Bar 62 in Catherine Street from 5pm to 8pm where there will also be an after show for those in possession of tickets for the Pioneer gig.
