FIVE-piece St Albans rock band The Scratch are launching their new single at a party to mark the 70th anniversary of the Pioneer Club in Harpenden Road next Friday, November 18.

They are joining three other bands – As Daylight Dies, The Vertigos and Dark Stares - for the gig and the club which is known for its skateboard park and latterly, its links with the St Albans band Enter Shikari who built their reputation there before moving on to wider acclaim.

Entitled Wag Potential, The Scratch will be performing the single on the night which gets underway at 7pm with the first band coming on at 8pm.
