THE final years of Leo Tolstoy’s life are at the heart of The Last Station, the next film to be shown by Harpenden Film Society in the Public Halls.
A grown-up drama, it stars Helen Mirren who picked up a Best Actress Oscar nomination and Christopher Plummer who won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Tolstoy.
The film can be seen at 8pm next Tuesday, November 2, and tickets are �4.50, available from www.harpendenfilmsociety.co.uk or from the Public Halls, Harpenden Town Hall or from WH Smith.
