ALADDIN has paid a visit to CarpetRight on a shopping epedition for a key role in the pantomime which is being performed at a St Albans school from tonight (Thursday) until Saturday.

Aladdin, together with Widow Twankey, Wishee Washee and the Emperor of China visited the Griffiths Way store to buy a magic carpet for the show at Killigrew School.

The annual pantomime, performed by Killigrew Drama Society (KiDS), will shed light on the store visit and the magic carpet flight from Peking to Cairo.

KiDS have been donating funds to Killigrew School for 34 years and show director Barbara Magrath said: “The Annual KiDS Panto is truly a local community project. This year not only are we pleased to welcome new members, performing on stage for the first time, but several past members have come out of retirement to support our fundraising efforts for our local school.”

Some tickets are still available for evening performances that start at 7.30pm. Call 01727 758866 or 01727 837094 or see the KiDS’ website at http://kids.chiswellgreen.net/
