EIGHTIES film month continues at the Alban Arena next week with three more classic movies from the decade.

On Tuesday, January 11, at 7.30pm, the theatre is showing When Harry Met Sally starring Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, the film which asks the definitive question about whether sex makes it impossible for men and women to be true friends.

Next Wednesday, January 12, there are two showings – the first at 1.30pm and the second at 7.30pm – of The Colour Purple, the period drama chronicling how a woman, played by Whoopi Goldberg, struggles to overcome poverty and adversity at the turn of the 20th Century.

And at 7.30pm on Thursday, January 13, there is a chance to see Stand By Me, the story of four young boys who go in search of a missing teenager and have the adventure of their lives.
