MUSIC flows through the veins of Sylvia Rae Tracey who is appearing at the Herts Jazz Club on Sunday.

Married to Clark Tracey, the son of Stan, and born into a musical family in Scotland where her father Ronnie is widely considered as that country’s leading jazz bassist, she and her five siblings all became part of the jazz scene.

Her CD Up From The Skies has received wide acclaim for its success in stepping outside of the accepted world of the jazz vocalist.

She will be joined at the club in Campus West, Welwyn Garden City, by Simon Allen on saxes, John Parricelli on guitar, Zoe Rahman on piano, Arnie Somogyi on bass and husband Clark on drums.

The evening begins at 7.45pm and tickets are 12 online at www.welhat.gov.uk/cw, 15 on the door and 5 for students and under 21s.
