MASKS, puppetry, audience participation and an original score combine at Trestle Arts Base when it stages two performances of Storm in a Tea Cup on Monday, March 14.

Horse + Bamboo Theatre Company is putting on the show aimed at children aged four and above at 1.30pm and 4pm.

Originally written as a 15-minute piece of theatre, it has since been developed into a full-scale touring show that has just completed a sell-out run at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Studio.

Storm in a Tea Cup tells how a lonely lighthouse keeper is trying to make a new friend but is hampered by a troublemaking seagull among other things. It takes a storm to help him in his quest for friendship.

Tickets for the two performances at the arts base in Russet Drive, St Albans, are 6 concessions, 8 adults and 25 for a family, available on 01727 850950 or www.trestle.org.uk
