POPULAR musical Bugsy Malone will be performed by St Albans Youth Music Theatre next week.

The world of would-be gangsters, show girls and dreamers brought to life with songs, dances and splurge guns has been chosen to mark the group's 30th anniversary.

It is being performed at the Abbey Theatre in St Albans from next Thursday, April 16, until Saturday, April 18, with three evening performances at 8pm and a Saturday matinee at 3pm.

Past members of St Albans Youth Music Theatre include Paul Cattermole who was in S Club 7 and Adam Astill who has just starred in Mistresses on TV.

Former members Ben Davidson (musical director) and Emily Barrett (production assistant) are helping with this year's show and past members are invited to a reunion between the shows on Saturday, April 18. Further details can be obtained from sally-saymt@tiscali.co.uk
