THE Horn needs you! The St Albans music pub is hoping to get shortlisted as one of the UK’s best small music venues as part of the NME competition.
NME launched the competition at The Horn in May 2011 with a show by St Albans own Friendly Fires and as a result it was shortlisted for the award
This Saturday, to demonstrate that it is still one of the best live music venues in the country, The Horn is holding an NME small venue show featuring local talent.
The bands on the night include The Wholls, a four-piece who play guitar-based rock and sounds from the urban underground, Crystal Head, a three-piece outfit that melt together a variety of influences into their own brand of rock, Underview who recently topped the national chart for the surface unsigned festival and singer-songwriter Michael Hunt.
Tickets are £4 in advance and £6 on the door and to vote for The Horn in the competition, go to www.nme.com/smallvenues/vote and enter The Horn, St Albans in the box.
