A HOST of celebrities joined youngsters from St Albans-based Top Hat Stage and Screen School at the London Palladium last month.
Over 350 local children aged from nine to 17 from all Top Hat schools across Herts came together to perform a music variety show to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. As well as a live band, the youngsters were joined on stage by a host of celebrities including Zoe Tyler from Loose Women, and Ray Quinn, Deborah Stevenson and Tom Law from Eastenders.
The performance was also a tribute to the mum of one of the Top Hat students, Tracy Kindley, who died last year from breast cancer. Her son Max, 14, appeared in the show with his dad Angus Kindley producing it alongside Warren Bacci, principal of Top Hat.
Warren said: “It has been a long time ambition of mine for Top Hat to perform in the West End and when it all finally came together, I was so proud and moved. The students performed their best and the audience was fantastic. We raised a lot of money for charity and I was truly amazed at how well it all went.”
More than 1,600 people were in the audience and the show raised over �8,000 for Breakthrough.
