St Albans-based theatre company Katalyst Productions is putting on a new play at a London theatre next week.

Character is the first full-length play written by young playwright Florence Vincent and is a dark comedy about two women trying to grow up and, in the process, keep their friendship alive.

It is being performed at the Leicester Square Theatre from next Tuesday, September 16, until Saturday, September 20, by Katalyst Productions, newly formed by local actresses Kat Ann Rogers and Liz Hammond, who have performed with local drama companies OVO and the Company of Ten.

The first rehearsed reading was performed at the Women in Arts Festival in 2013 and the feedback was so positive that Kat and Liz decided to take the show into full production at the Leicester Square Theatre.
