A 100 per cent pass rate, all with marks above 75 per cent, has been notched up by students of a St Albans drama school
Eighty seven Theatrix students aged between five and 25, took Trinity Guildhall speech and drama grade exams at the Abbey Theatre, fully aware that the pass rate for the rigorous tests of candidates’ drama skills is 65 per cent.
In the event they all got over 75 per cent and 76 of them got 85 per cent and above – the best set of marks ever achieved by Theatrix students.
Principal Rosemarie Partridge said: “This is a record-breaking set of exam results. All our candidates were successful which is not unusual but it is the manner of their success which is such a cause for celebration. It demonstrates what our students of all ages can achieve at all levels and in all categories of exam.
“It is a tribute to their talent and their commitment to the development of their drama skills. It also reflects the heard work put in by our talented team of tutors.”
