A pre-tour concert is being given by the choirs of a St Albans church this Saturday before they head off to Edinburgh.
The concert by the choirs of St Peter’s Church will include music by Stanford, Elgar, Byrd and Purcell as well as featuring solo and ensemble items.
Continuing the pattern of regular tours every other summer over a number of years, St Peter’s Choirs will give a concert at Earlston Parish Church just south of Edinburgh and sing Evensong in St Mary’s Cathedral on August 4 and 5.
The concert at the church begins at 7.30pm and admission is free, with a retiring collection in aid of the choir tour fund. For more details ring 01727 855485.
