ST ALBANS Bach Choir is set to impress with an authentic baroque concert.
The choir will perform J.S. Bach's St Matthew Passion on Saturday in St Albans Abbey and regular orchestra, Sinfonia Verdi, will accompany the piece on traditional baroque instruments. Music Director Andrew Lucas said: "I'm certain that this will be, for me, an unforgettable experience and I hope that the audience will also feel that it is one not to be missed."
The choir will be performing the piece in English and they will be accompanied by boys from the St Albans Cathedral Choir and girls from St Albans Girls Choir who have cameo roles as the ripieno choir.
The performance begins at 6.45pm and tickets are available from the Abbey information desk on 01727 890256.
