ST Albans-based artist Julie D Cooper has had a painting selected for the Royal Society of Watercolour Contemporary Exhibition in London.
Her gouache painting St Ives Harbour will be on display at the Bankside Gallery in Hopton Street, London from tomorrow (Friday) until March 3.
Julie, who exhibited at the Childwickbury Art Fair for the first time last year, gets her inspiration from travel and colour is very important to her.
She attended Central St Martin’s College of Art where she explored colour interaction and subjective use of colour. She has just returned there to explore collage as a means of articulating form as inspiration for new ideas and imagery.
She has recently had work pre-selected for the New English Art Club annual exhibition and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters open exhibition.
