St Albans Abbey hosting the Big Draw

BUDDING artists of all ages are invited to St Albans Abbey next Thursday, October 27, for a giant drawing event.

The 2011 Big Draw Campaign is an annual month-long festival of over 1,000 events across the UK at which young and old can discover how drawing can connect them with their surroundings and the wider community.

In St Albans they will be invited to explore the Abbey and create their own masterpieces inspired by this year’s theme Drawing Age. Teams of helpers will be on hand with suggestions, artefacts and materials to develop the theme.

The Big Draw starts at 10.30am, runs until 3pm and is free for all the family.

Family visits officer, Gail Thomas, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming children and adults for a fun and creative day.”
