Drummer Bryan Spring and his trio open the new season at Herts Jazz Club this Sunday, April 5.
Tutored by Philly Joe Jones, Bryan emerged in the late 1960s, becoming Stan Tracey’s regular drummer for many years as well as forming a successful association with Don Weller.
In recent years Bryan has focused more on his trio, releasing The Spirit Of Spring on Trio Records to critical acclaim.
