SONGS for springtime will be included in the programme for the next concert by the Cantilena Ladies Choir.
The choir is performing at 3pm on Sunday, March 16, at St Saviour's Church Hall in Sandpit Lane, St Albans.
The concert will include some English and Hungarian folk songs and, as 2008 marks the 50th anniversary of the death of Vaughan Williams, some of his arrangements of English folk songs are included in the programme.
The featured soloist will be Robin de Smet on clarinet who will play six studies in English folksong by Vaughan Williams.
Admission to the concert is free but there will be a retiring collection
