VER Poets president John Mole will be on his feet at the next meeting of the society when he will be giving a reading.
John, who is an award-winning poet, reviewer and jazz clarinettist, will be reading from his latest collection entitled The Other Day.
The meeting is being held next Friday, March 14, at St Michael's parish centre in St Albans.
It is open to non-members who pay £4 on the door.
