THE courage, strength and spirit of Muslim women is celebrated in a new touring production which comes to the Trestle Theatre tonight (Thursday).
An Ode To My Sisters is being performed by Elsewhere Theatre Company at the arts base in Russet Drive, St Albans, at 7.30pm.
It unveils the voices of British Muslim women using theatre, live music and video projections.
Twin sisters Ferhana and Aishah have very different outlooks on life and when it comes to making choices in love, they couldn't be more opposed.
As they embark on their newly-married lives, the consequences of their choices collide, testing their beliefs and bonds with Islam, their family and each other.
Written by Azma Dar, An Ode To My Sisters features an all-female cast of seven.
