CELEBRATING 21 years of singing, a choir is holding its last concert of the season in St Albans next Friday afternoon, June 5.
The Senior Singers Choir are putting on the concert at 2.30pm in St Luke's Church, Cell Barnes Lane, St Albans, in aid of the many thousands of children suffering from Aids in Tanzania.
The choir is open to all women over the age of 60 and that is the age of the youngest member while the oldest is 96. The conductor for the whole 21 years has been Valerie Robertson and the choir has a new accompanist in Simon Gargrave.
There is no admission charge for the concert but there will be a retiring collection for the Aids children.
