PIANIST Martin Kasik launches the new 2010/2011 season of Radlett Music Club next Thursday, October 14.

An outstanding young Czech pianist who has won many prizes including the New York Young Concert Artists Competition, he has also taken first prize in the Prague Spring Competition, the Akzo Nobel Prize and the Davidoff Prize.

He has recorded for Czech, German, Swedish and Missouri Radio and for Czech Television while one of his five CDs, Martin Kasik – Live from Prague, and featuring works by Schumann and Rachmaninoff was awarded the highest rating in the French musical magazine Repertoire.

The first part of his concert, which starts at 8pm at The Radlett Centre, will honour Chopin’s double centenary this year. It will also feature the music of Rachmaninov.
