STUDENTS from the oldest established specialist music school in the UK are giving the lunchtime concert next Wednesday, January 29, at a city centre church.
The Purcell School was founded in 1962 and movied to Bushey in 1997.
Six senior pupils including a soprano, two pianists, a violinist and a saxophonist, will be performing a selection of works by Britten, Gounod, Mozart, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Bruch and Debussy.
The free concert, which is in aid of Grove House, is at St Peter’s Church, St Albans at 1pm.
