The Animals and Friends with Spencer Davis are performing at 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 23.
2009 marked founder member John Steel's 52nd year as a performing musician. Back in 1957 he and The Animals co-founder Eric Burdon began playing their trade in and around their native Tyneside with no inkling that they would, in a few years time, find themselves part of a group that would be forever bracketed with the best of British music.
The Animals and Friends will be performing their own back catalogue of hits including Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, and House of the Rising Sun.
Guitarist, writer and performer Spencer Davis will be performing all his group's classics Gimme Some Lovin', Keep on Running, Somebody Help Me and more with his band.
Tickets are 17.50 and 16.50.
Tim Minchin, the Australian comedian, theatre performer, rock star and philosopher, who is performing at the Arena next Saturday, September 19, is now sold out.
